photos that changed the world

At TED University, Jonathan Klein of Getty Images shows some of the most iconic, and talks about what happens when a generation sees an image so powerful it can't look away -- or back.
Photographs do more than document history -- they make it.

the truth is... [4]

The belief that youth is the happiest time of life is founded on a fallacy.
The happiest people are those who think the most interesting thoughts,
they grow happier as they grow older.
Those who decide to use leisure as a means of mental development,
who love good music, good books, good pictures, good company, good conversation,
are the happiest people in the world.

And they are not only happy in themselves, they are the cause of happiness in others.

dacafe's diary (ダカフェ日記)

i don't know weather its because of the angle, the timing, the technique, the exposure, the objects, the simplicity, the lighting or mash up of everything above... i am in love with these photographs!

its simple, its heart warming, its straight forward and comforting all together. the last picture, i think its vvvery inspiring. i've always wanted to be able to take pictures like these. i want to take picture of something simple and turning it into something special through my camera. just like those pictures above.
The photographer took all these pictures in a form of dairy, you can go straight to the website, and enjoy more of his nice work.

urban morning

6.40am view in front of my work place

frankly, i am not a morning person.
my biorhythm is messed up in the morning, especially if the early morning wake up is intended for work.
but i do enjoy this one particular moment,
the moment where i sip a nice cup of coffee and lit up a cigarette in the morning right before i started to work and get on with all the work hectic.
its simply the best way to start my work day.

bittersweet memory

The funny thing about remembering the times when we were together is that, it could make me smile and also capable of making me cry.
I want to forget, to save myself from remembering the pain but I can't do it because it would also cost me the memories that makes me smile.
When it comes to past relationship, will there be a day that we will ever forget the way it feels? Forget how great it was.. How painful it was..? Or we will forever be haunted by the memories of those people that have become nothing more then familiar strangers..

.......
Seriously, could my pms gets any worse then this! It turns me into this emo bitch blabbering about feelings and even worse, past relationships! plus, my mood swings is just horrible. I despise myself atm. Before I talks more nonsense, I might as well shut my eyes n sleep. Good night.

berry pink

 Sony Vaio W Series

i am not a pink person, but, say no more.. i have a huge crush with this cute little thing <3

the truth is... [3]

nobody can escape the pain...
it's right there with you wherever you are.
all you can hope for is a one good day, a day where you feel like that day is different from the other, that your life could actually change and get better.
that kind of day will made the pain less hurtful, and gradually you will forget it all together and even learn to move on with your life.
that kind of day is what they called "a new beginning" or "light of hope".

but the scar... the scar will always be there, you just forgot how much it hurts.

nights are not just for sleep

T's - Zara; Black skinny pants - n/a; Black canvas high tops sneakers - Converse; Black leather shoulder bag - n/a

well, in my case... most of the time, nights are for work.
you see, my work schedule lately been messing up with my life pattern. this constant morning shift-night shift swap in my weekly schedule is turning into serious physical exhaustion. i have to consider getting myself a routine mild body work out.

ごめんね 約束は夜空に散って行ったよ
ね、ありがとうって ありがとうって
言い過ぎて いえ、いえ!
届かなかったんだね
my summer day…

携帯で撮ったふたりの写真は思ったより
少なくて、しかもぼやけてて でも削除できない
20年以上も生きてんのに 大人になれない
寂しさの止め方さえ わからない

走れ!
Feel alright! 涙雲でSKY
ふたりで見たかった 花火がとてもキレイだよ
ね、好きだった 大好きだった
あなたのこと 思い出になるんだね
my summer day…

こんなわたしのこと 忘れないでいてよね
すぐに泣いちゃう悪い癖も 忘れないで

時々あなたと笑って歩く夢を見るんだ
また会いたくて、二度寝するとか、なんだか笑えるね

Farah Angsana Spring 2011 Collection

Indonesian designer Farah Angsana show her Spring 2011 collection during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week at The Studio at Lincoln Center on September 9, 2010 in New York City. The collection was inspired by Indonesia. Green for the tropical forests, blue defines the maritime nation, and the earth tones for the colour of Indonesia’s fertile soil.

The elegant gowns simply blow me away. And the sophisticated mini dress is over the top! The choice of colors and details are brilliant as well as beautiful. My favorite is the fabulous green gown!

perfume talk...

Voile de Jasmin by Bvlgari; Be Delicious by DKNY; Lovely by SJP

I just realize that i am so close to drained all of my perfume bottles. i need to get myself a new one, the confusion here is weather i get one of my all time favorite perfumes, or get myself a new fragrance.
here is my all time favorites:
- Flower by Kenzo
- Lovely by Sarah Jessica Parker
- Envy Me by Gucci

Since we're talking about perfume here, i would like to share some knowledge about fragrance.
- fragrance has 3 layers, Top Note is what you smell immediately after applying the perfume; Middle note is the smell after applying perfume for several minutes to an hour; Base note: After thirty minutes, you smell the base note. The base note is the true scent of the perfume. So wait until the base note is appear before you decide to buy a perfume.
- shop for perfume in the afternoon when your sense of smell is at its peak
- do wear more fragrance if you have dry skin; you will need to apply fragrances more often than those who have oily skin.
- apply your perfume after you have showered and dried completely
- for maximum effect, apply perfume to your pulse points (behind earlobes, wrist, inner elbow, right and left side of neck)
- don't spray perfume near pearls or jewelry. Because perfume is infused with alcohol it can strip these jewels and remove their coating
- even though u might have seen it a lot, but don't rub the fragrance once applied, apparently rubbing damages the molecules and could change the notes
- Expect a perfume to last about three years from the date it was bottled. Never store your perfume bottle where it is exposed to high temperature or direct sunlight. In fact, colognes and eau de toilette should be stored in the refrigerator to increase their shelf lives
- don't overdo it, you don't want to make people around u feel headache because of your smell right?!
"It [perfume] is the unseen, unforgettable, ultimate accessory of fashion…. that heralds your arrival and prolongs your departure." ~Coco Chanel

PS: Dear readers, it would be nice if you guys recommend me your favorite fragrance. thanks :)
