When did it stop being fun and start being scary?

....When you're young, your whole life is about the pursuit of fun.
Then, you grow up and learn to be cautious. You could break a bone or a heart.
You look before you leap and sometimes you don't leap at all,
because there's not always someone there to catch you.
And in life, there's no safety net.
When did it stop being fun and start being scary?...
~Carrie Bradshaw, Sex and The City.

It's so true... as we grow up, it's as if we forgot how to live the moment and just have fun. we started to over-think and over-analyze every single thing. We learn to turn off our expectations, not because we stop having hope, but more like we avoid to be let down by someone we care or something important to us when everything is falls apart.
The thing is, sometimes this also means that we unconsciously turn ourselves into pessimists. we forgot how fun it is to try something new, to fight for what we want, to be true to ourselves... and how exciting it is to take a leap of faith, make mistakes and just enjoy life as it is without holding back or feeling scared. Mistake is not a negative thing when you're able to turn it into lesson learned.
